RR's Rankings : A Christmas Advent 2017 - How to celebrate the Christmas season through film - New and improved

A Christmas Film Advent
How to celebrate the Christmas season with film

We received a great request from faithful readers: "Could you compile a list for our family to watch a Christmas film each night leading up to the Christmas season? A Christmas Film Advent"

We had to update the list from last year because we found out a few films were not available (Come on Netflix, lift your game!) and we wanted to freshen up the countdown. The teams at Russelling Reviews and Reel Dialogue rose to the challenge and we think we have put together a great list of films that the include Christmas in their storylines. Some of the films grab the meaning of Christmas and one, in particular, says it all. This is the new and improved list.

If you do not like some of the films, there is a supplemental list to make your own list. Hove some fun, mix it up a bit!

Catagories: Most of the films are family-friendly, but some may be meant for adults only.

‘Mum & Dad films’ - MD - films that are intended for adult audiences only. Good for cuddling up together and enjoying some alone time.

‘Great Memories' - GMThe mark for classic films from decades past that should not be forgotten.

We did not include sequels, but you are welcome to watch all of the films that come after the original.

There will be a reason for the order, primarily the film that is meant for Christmas Day.

Enjoy and Merry Christmas.
