RRs Rankings of the Dystopian Young Adult genre

“The life where nothing was ever unexpected. Or inconvenient. Or unusual. The life without colour, pain or past.” Lois Lowry, The Giver

With the release of Maze Runner: The Death Cure, the feeling that there is an end to an era. The dystopian young adult films seem to have run their course. A genre that was inspired by Harry Potter and Twilight, but hit hyper-drive with the Hunger Games. These films that were inspired by famous book series have had their highs and lows, but with the conclusion of the Maze Runner series, things seem to have run their course.

Even though there will inevitably be more films in the future, the team at Russelling Reviews thought a ranking of these movies would be worthwhile. After getting insight from a group of young adults, we answer the questions:

Which film is the best, and which ones are at the bottom of the dark dystopian pile?

This utterly unscientific ranking system will go from worst to best until the next wave of films arrives in theatres.
